Viper

Last bit of art before the new year! 2013 was the Year Of The Snake in the Chinese Zodiac, so I played with the curves and V-shapes on a viper. The texture overlaying the drawing is a photo I took after noticing all the speckles and dots in the sidewalk.

Outer Demons

Concepts of inner demons for Outer Demons.

Stan Model Sheet

Model sheet for Stan, a fish out of water in more ways than one. Stan is a lazy man who hasn't adapted well to the workplace environment. In fact, he's not even sure what his job is exactly! But until Stan can figure out what he's been hired for, he flounders about in an attempt to look busy so he doesn't get the boot.

Ned the Egghead

Ned's expression sheet in preparation for animation. There's also my notes to further explain Ned's design and how it changes with his emotions.

And this is Ned's rough model sheet, which was a ton of fun to draw!

Ned has often been called an 'egghead' for his incredible intellect and knowledge, but when it comes to dealing with life and the outside world, he's anything but a braniac. As a nice guy who loves to help others and play by the rules, Ned's dedication to doing things by the book often gets him into trouble, since, more often than not, he's given far more work than he can handle on his own. Regardless, Ned never gives up! And somehow, he always manages to get the job done.

Cute Fits

Some outfit and hairstyle variations. Playing with shapes and colors for fun.

Tin Man

Sketches of my version of the Tin Man, L. Frank Baum's character from the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Egghead Characters

Character designs for my animated short, Egghead. The short only follows Ned and Stan, but the story continues with other characters, from fellow co-workers, to people they greet and meet on the street on their way to work.
